Introducing.....Christian's very own Hermit crabs!!! He is so excited about these 2 guys. We originally had only one, and his name was Gus. Christian quickly fell in love with him and also changed his name to "Duck". I really can't tell you how or why but "Duck" he is. "Duck" was a little creepier than we originally thought but he grew on us, of course we did not grow nearly as much on "Duck". He sulked and stopped eating and basically stayed in his coconut house all day and Christian was getting upset. So........$50 later "Duck" got a new BIGGER home, with new toys, new treats and a new "baby sister" (as Christian decided). The baby sister is the one with Elmo on her. Of course "Duck's" baby sister needed a name and so Christian thought and thought and thought and decided to name her.... "Duck!" Duck and Duck are now comfortably residing in Christian's bedroom and are very happy in their new crabitat. They play, frolic and climb all over each other. One big happy family.

He may be a genius

Ok...maybe not quite but he's pretty dang smart. He can now give you the last name of every president ( as long as you give him the first name.) He also knows all 50 states, although some are harder to understand than others. He loves Texas, wants to go to Texas, talks about Texas points to Texas on map. I'm not real sure what all that is about. School has been going great and we are still working on getting our paperwork ready for Christians's baby sister. It looks like the wait may increase and this whole process may take us 2 years. Christian is telling everyone he's going to China, I don't know how to explain to him that it will be in a couple of years.

Christian has a new Blog! You can still see old pictures on babiesonline.com I decided that perhaps he's not a baby anymore and he deserved a BIG BOY blog. I'll attach our adoption Blog also so that everybody is kept up to date on our journey. As you can see he is 3 and not afraid to tell you, or anyone else who he comes into contact to. He has started a new school and is doing great (he actually knows more presidents than I do) but I am studying to catch up and hopefully help him when he asks me which president comes next. He also has informed us the locations of at least 6 different states, one of them being North Dakota?? I didn't even know where it was but it turns out it's up NORTH, right above South Dakota. I promptly bought a childs map so I could study up on my states. Wow, its hard to keep up with kids these days!
